Philz Coffee will close this week at 7247 Woodmont Avenue in downtown Bethesda. An employee said that tomorrow, Wednesday, June 15, 2022 will be the last day. Philz opened here at the end of 2018. The chain closed its Dupont Circle store on April 30.

It was really good but really expensive I thought. Good stuff costs more I guess. Tough to compete with Streetery which likely will never go away. And the amount of coffee choice is staggering. Almost every block there's at least decent coffee. DC still open I believe.
Wow. I didn't see that coming at all. The place looked busy every time I walked past it.
Oh well, I guess we'll see what comes next. Hopefully not another taco place.
Ugh, the only store in Bethesda Row that I've gone into since the Pandemic.
The new Trader Joe's is nice.
They are closing multiple locations in the DMV, so I assume its more of a corporate decision to exit the area.
