Maryland governor hopeful Delegate Dan Cox (R) got an assist from his highest-profile endorser, President Donald Trump, at a rally this past weekend in Carroll County. "We're going to get rid of the stench of Larry Hogan," Trump vowed to rallygoers by speakerphone, referring to the current Maryland governor, who has been one of the most prominent never-Trump Republicans in America over the last six years. Hogan was again on Trump's mind, as he praised Cox as his choice over Hogan-endorsed Kelly Schulz in the contest.
"Dan is MAGA all the way and I say that very strongly," Trump said on the call, "unlike his opponent named Kelly Schulz who is, along with Larry Hogan, bad news. And I'll tell you, Larry Hogan is bad news. He's a RINO." Trump promised that Cox would do "a full forensic audit" of the 2020 election, and cut taxes and regulations. "I’ve known Dan for awhile and he’s a great, highly respected lawyer, he’s tough and smart, and as a businessman very successful. He fought really hard to expose the 2020 election scam," Trump added.
Trump also praised Cox's running mate, Gordana Schifanelli, calling her "fantastic," and the Republican nominee for governor of Pennsylvania, Doug Mastriano, who was the headlining guest of the rally. He also complimented the boisterous crowd, who chanted, "Trump, Trump, Trump!"
"Go out and get Dan Cox elected," Trump exhorted attendees at the Hampstead rally. "You’ve got to go out and you’ve got to vote for Dan Cox. I love you all and Dan, to Dan I say, you’re a great, courageous patriot, you’re going to win, and you’re going to win big." “It was a tremendous honor to host the President of the United States at my campaign Rally via live telephone," Cox said in a statement, "and once again President Trump provided a momentous point in our campaign." Former delegate Robin Ficker and attorney Joe Werner are also running for the GOP nomination in the July 19 primary. Early voting begins July 7.

Democrats thank Trump for the help. The Republican establishment has to waste money defending Schulz and if Cox ever actually won the primary there's a 0.0% chance he'd win in the general.
8:50's TDS is showing and is living rent-free in your head. Trump's record as kingmaker is over 90% and things are running so well with democrats in charge...

I like what I see in Cox more than Schultz at this stage. Look no further than Nancy Mase in SC though. Her opponent was Trump backed. Especially in MD, Trump backed is not a winner. Schultz will win the primary and could win in the general.
11:17's too busy insulting people to actually read comments correctly. Trump being a "kingmaker" is exactly what Democrats want. In several primaries Democratic candidates and PACs are financially supporting Trump candidates because they're so blatantly unelectable in the general. Cox loses by 30 points if he's the nominee.
1:45 is likely correct as the 3 counties that control the state are blue but did elect Hogan.
Believe what you want, (8:06), about elections in other states if it helps you sleep at night until November. You guys have driven a strong economic bus and parked it on the train tracks to get hit over and over again. Then there's the border...

If another RINO were to win as MD gov (although I doubt Schultz would prevail over any of the D front runners. She is just not a strong candidate and cannot even debate fellow R candidates - how on earth will she debate a D opponent?!) MD would be lost anyway.
Dems cannot govern. They only want to rule. See Balt City for an example of the Dem's handiwork.
If you want to live freely and not be overtaxed and over-regulated in MD then the only chance is an America First candidate. And if that isn't what Marylanders want then it's their funeral, probably literally, with the de-funding of police.

Absolutely spot on analysis. I have more analysis for you. The only reason Hogan even won (surprising everyone including himself) was because his democrat opponent was black. Go ahead, laugh. I think it's true. Enough so-called liberals (and perhaps even their hardcore comrades the Bolsheviks) couldn't stomach the thought of an ethnic minority being shoved down their throats. Now, most didn't feel this way, but enough did that Hogan won. Roughly, I'd say two or three out of every hundred did. That was enough. Being that every Dem governor in MD has been white, I'd need real proof that Anthony Brown's blackness was not a factor.
Adding to that, of course, was that Hogan is could easily be a moderate Dem. Nobody would see the difference. In areas such as Gun rights, voting rights, MAGA support, he's no different than a Dem.
Hogan is an actual Republican, not a MAGA fascist. Unfortunately he's a dying breed and the GOP's electability in well-educated suburbs is similarly on life support.
What is TDS 10:37 going to do when their predictions of doom for a party they never voted for let alone respected doesn't happen? Seen the polls lately? Wishing, hoping and projecting isn't a plan and education doesn't make one smart.
Imagine being so deranged you bring up "TDS" in every reply, even in 2022.
