Capital Budget Forum to be held Monday, June 22 in Bethesda

What are the most pressing infrastructure and facility needs in Bethesda right now, in your opinion? Monday night (June 22) may be your chance to tell County departments your thoughts directly, as the Western Montgomery County Citizens Advisory Board will hold a Capital Budget Forum at 7:00 PM at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Services Center, at 4805 Edgemoor Lane.

How much of the discussion will center around your suggestions, as opposed to projects already in the conceptual pipeline, remains to be found. The other problem for activists - this meeting is scheduled to directly conflict with the White Flint Phase II Sector Plan kick-off meeting that night. That wasn't likely intentional, however. The MoCo planning department moved their WF II meeting to this night when its original date conflicted with a public hearing last Wednesday night.

Here's the agenda for the budget forum:

7:00 pm - Welcome by WMCCAB Chair, Tara Flynn
7:05 - Office of Management & Budget presentation
7:15 - Q&A
7:55 - Small group discussions
8:15 - Report out by small groups
8:30 - WMCCAB discussion to debrief and develop CIP priority list
9:00 pm - Adjournment

We clearly need more TD Banks in single-use, one-floor buildings near the metro station.
