The first residents of The Flats at Bethesda Avenue were scheduled to move in yesterday, according to a spokesperson for developer StonebridgeCarras, and the first retailers will move in on June 10 (although, as I reported earlier this morning, neighbor Pottery Barn is actually opening this Friday). One can surmise from these new photos that PAUL Bakery is going to be one of the first.
Their permanent sign is now installed, and you can see that furniture is now in place inside the bakery.

It looks haunted.
Lol I was thinking the same thing from these pictures! Neat though, this area is just getting nicer and nicer. Love the development going on!
It looks haunted because of the silly instagram filters used and it seems the pictures were taken far away and digitally zoomed in which made them grainy.
Great "first look" inside Paul. Looks cozy in there. Looking forward to it!
Yeah, the graininess makes those plastic lamp wrappers look like cobwebs.
More photosuckery from Dyer.
9:23: Same old troll who is "resentful" of the extensive photo coverage of Bethesda on this website. A.k.a. the only person who is complaining about a sneak preview of PAUL Bakery. "Bah humbug!"
9:58: It may be time to update to higher-resolution devices - which can be a challenge for Montgomery County Government, which was revealed to be running on Windows 2000 in 2014.
LOL, you just don't get it. The problem is in your images and the way you process them.
It's not my monitor's or my computer's or my iPhone's fault that your outdoor pictures show downtown Bethesda with indigo skies.
Eh, he's a hyper local blog. We readers can let grainy dark images shot through windows slide.
4:03 needs a Crayola refresher on Indigo. You guys must be twiddling at the Masters level if you're down to criticizing photography that loads fine on an old tablet and the saturation level of a photo.
The Parisienne menu of Paul's looks delectable. Fluffy, crusty, chewy baguettes, fresh salads, savory sandwiches, all with reasonable caloric intakes for a meal (a little under 300 calories a sandwich; the French are so reasonable and healthy with regard to nutritional portioning). This way, one actually could nab a black currant macaron or tarte without much remorse (though I have always preferred les fromages over sweets).
Sandwiches on the Paris menu include: Both smoked and fresh grilled salmon; grilled shrimp; ham and swiss; and camembert. Bon Apetit!
"The Parisienne menu of Paul's looks delectable."
"...one actually could nab a black currant macaron or tarte without much remorse (though I have always preferred les fromages over sweets)."
Do you stick out your pinkie finger when you drink a cup of tea?
Haha I was thinking the same thing.
No, my mum's guilded china is in storage, and I'm not a huge tea fan. I typically down lemony ice water from a Hydroflask. The only tea party I'd have been interested in is the Boston Tea Party. If I were in the habit of sticking a finger in any direction, it would be at you, and it would not my pinky.
I was merely getting in the spirit of Paul's, and clearly, you've never had a black currant macaron. It's a freaking party in your mouth.
4:03: "LOL", thanks for producing some of the more idiotic comments on the internet today. Your longstanding bitterness about the extensive photographic coverage of Bethesda on this blog severely undermines your credibility and inane complaints. Your "resentful" response to a preview of the interior is largely the result of realizing there won't be a super-special, super-exclusive preview of the interior design on another particular website, where other media outlets will be excluded, as happened with Naples or Urban Heights. So try to control your "resentment".
Your responses are so bizarre. Laden with accusations and assumptions. Of course that's your right. It just seems funny you don't allow others the same courtesy.
As a a political "candidate" it's even more bizarre that Dyer is always so rude to commenters whose opinions differ from his.
5:54: Those weren't opinions, they were insults. It's a recurring theme about the photos. A classic tactic to try to make a positive into a weakness. It's not working.
Not really from a third party perspective. He was commenting that your photos are grainy. And you responded by calling him idiotic.

"[C]learly, you've never had a black currant macaron. It's a freaking party in your mouth."
I'll show you a "party in your mouth", Caitlyn.
6:37: What do you do if you don't have the photos? Criticize the other guy's.
