Soup Up posts coming soon signs at Peripoint Building in Bethesda (Photos)

Bethesda's distinctive Peripoint Building, formerly home to Bang + Olufsen, is getting a new tenant. Soup Up Bethesda has posted signage announcing a fall opening. There's also a website, but like the Silver site I told you about yesterday, there's nothing on there yet.

Soup Up does have a website for its DC location, which has a recent sample menu, and a long list of soups they've offered. According to some of the signs, the soups will be gluten, dairy and oil-free.

Here are some more pictures of the signs, as well as of this great building, which will likely be preserved from redevelopment thanks to a potential density transfer to Douglas Development's 8008 Wisconsin project.

Someone should put a vacuum cleaner store in this location. I think that would be the only thing to survive there.

terrible location. not sure how you can attract foot traffic if you're on a glorified crosswalk island.

Almost as bad as the TD bank boondoggle. Except TD Bank is way worst. Boycott!

8:30AM They'll need to advertise that the Cordell/St Elmo garage is a short walk away.
There are usually a few metered spaces on the street in the evening available.

9:09 AM Snarky TD Bank comments, do you live in the Christopher? I imagine those are the only folks in favor of a one level bank on that site.

I agree on both this building and the TD comments. Yuck.
